Part-time

The Massage Therapist provides prompt and courteous service to all guests and performs various massage protocols including several types of massage and body scrubs. Other duties include cleaning, stocking, folding linen and providing amenities to guests.

• Provides the highest level of guest service for all guests.
• Greets all guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Works together with co-workers displaying teamwork at all times.
• Maintains flexible work schedule.
• Follows all service standards and departments policies and procedures.
• Performs various massage protocols, including deep pressure, hot stone, and seated massage.
• Escorts guests to various treatment rooms and back to spa area.
• Maintains equipment in massage room and reports equipment that is broken, damaged, or unsafe immediately to Lead Therapist.
• Helps Spa attendants during down time folding towels, cleaning etc.
• Keeps various massage room areas and supplies clean and stocked.
• Follows all regulations in accordance with the Department of Business Licensing and the County Code of Massage Compliance.
• Performs all other job related duties as requested.

Required:

• Current massage therapy license.
• Ability to travel within the hotel property with massage table and accessories.
• Ability to perform massage either indoors or outdoors in various climatic conditions.
• Working knowledge of mathematical skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Effective listening abilities with strong judgment skills in order to ascertain the condition and requests of the guest.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.

Preferred:

• Previous experience working in resort, medical or day spa.
• Previous experience working in a similar resort setting.
